Frequently Asked Questions

My child/group is not part of GA's, Acteens, or RA's, can they still attend Camp WorldLight?

Absolutely! Though Camp WorldLight supports GA's, Acteens, and RA's our campers do not exclusively belong to one of these groups. We love and appreciate all campers!

Does my child have to come with a group?

No! We happily accept individual campers. It is not necessary that an entire group or church participate.

How do we pay for registration?

You can pay for registration via phone or mail. For payment over the phone, please call call 1-800-226-8584 extension 3141. To pay via mail, make checks out to Florida Baptist Convention and put "CWL registration" in the memo. Checks should be sent to:

My child has never been away from home, what if he/she becomes homesick?

Homesickness is not uncommon at overnight camps! Our staff are specifically trained to handle this issue. Generally, campers are able to complete the week with only a few small cases of homesickness (usually at night). We do not allow campers to call home unless the homesickness is severe. This is because, in our experience, calling home makes the issue much worse.

How early should I register?

The earlier the better! We require full payment 2 weeks prior to your camp start date. At any time, you can pay your $70 deposit to secure your spot for that week. We strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible. The sooner we receive registration, the better we are able to prepare the appropriate amount of supplies and staff. As you may know we cannot hold camp without campers, so please let us know if you plan to come!

What do we do to register?

Our registration has been moved to online registration. The links are conveniently located on our website on the home page and under the "dates and information" section. Once your group or child has registered, a packet will be emailed to you with forms to complete and turn in upon arrival at camp as well as a list of what they should bring.
